Use Gentle Mixing after surfactants have been added (when surfactants are mixed too high shear and you create a lot of foam it will take time for the foam to work its way back into the cleanser, this may look like separation but it is just the foam at the top)

Instructions:

  1. Combine Phase A, with, high shear*, mixing to dissolve Gluconolactone & Sodium Benzoate then begin heating to 170F.
  2. Combine Phase B and heat to 170F, mixing to combine and prevent the ingredients from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
  3. When both phases have reached temperature begin gentle mixing of Phase A and add Phase B slowly, mixing until incorporated.
  4. Begin cooling. Once cool to <110F add Phase C with gentle mixing.
  5. Test the pH and add Citric Acid 10% solution to adjust pH to 5.0 - 6.0, only if necessary.
